Dynamic Content Gallery WPMU beta fix

This page contains out of date information and the test file is no longer available for download. Many thanks to those of you who assisted with testing.

From version 2.0 onwards the Dynamic Content Gallery Plugin is compatible with WPMU.

If anyone out there would like to test my WPMU compatability fix, your help will be much appreciated.

A NEW VERSION OF THIS FIX HAS BEEN MADE AVAILABLE 18 OCTOBER 2008 21 OCTOBER 2008 24 OCTOBER 2008.

If you already have the Dynamic Content Gallery installed:

  1. Delete the existing options.php file from the dynamic-gallery folder
  2. Replace your existing dynamic-gallery-plugin.php and dynamic-gallery.php with the files contained in this: (This file is no longer available)
  3. All other files remain the same – only the changes mentioned above need to be made.
  4. Follow the instructions given here.

If you have not already downloaded and installed the plugin:

  • Download the existing stable (non-WPMU) version of the plugin here.
  • Then come back to this page and download the WPMU DCG test fix.
  • Follow the instructions given here.

Please post back if it works, or if it doesn’t! Thanks.

Further information can be found in this forum post.

PLEASE backup your existing files before you begin.

PLEASE note this WPMU has NOT been tested by me (I don’t currently have WPMU).

I have tested this on WPMU 2.6.2 and the Options page loads and saves data correctly. However, due to other differences between WP and WPMU, the plugin cannot currently find the images due to the need to define the site url and file folders in a special way for WPMU. I’m working on this and will post back as soon as I have some good news!

PS: These are beta version fixes to get the plugin to work on WPMU. You download and use these files at YOUR OWN RISK!

OK, end of warnings…
