Dynamic Content Gallery v3.3.5 released

Dynamic Content Gallery screenshot
Version 3.3.5 fixes a HTML markup error which was causing the Post and Page Editors (depending on which gallery method you are using) to display all text in italics…

Yes, a silly error which slipped through the quality control net. Unfortunately, with the best will in the world, these things will happen from time to time. As I prefer to hit issues on the head asap, I decided to release an update for this tiny change rather than wait for the next scheduled release. At least automatic upgrades make updating so much easier than in the old days…

Version 3.3.5 doesn’t add any new features, nor are there any other changes in this release apart from fixing this markup error in includes/dfcg-admin-metaboxes.php.

And finally…

Many thanks once again to those users – in this case, one user – who posted useful feedback on the support forum and helped me track down the issue. Thanks! 🙂

Comments

  1. Another idea to include in future releases: in the One Category method, a possibility to exclude certain categories (for example, show all categories in chronological order, except category 10 and its subcategories).

And another one to simplify post ordering in ID method: make the order in which the post ID numbers are inserted into the line the display order. That way users wouldn’t have to edit the posts every time they want to change the display order.

    • Thanks for the suggestions.

      1. Category exclusion – not a bad idea. I’ll look into it.

      2. ID sorting – this is already possible using the Sort Control field in the DCG metabox.

  2. Hi, I updated my WordPress site to version 3.3.1 and not sure what happened, but the Dynamic Content Gallery vanished, though I didn’t touch it at all. Any ideas?

  3. PS – please note I am using Dynamic Content Gallery version 3.3.5 and the problem occurred straight after updating WordPress….

  4. Hi again, I believe I have now sorted it out – it was a misconfiguration of the gallery settings with the image path when I deleted a category – now sorted ; )

  5. When this plugin is active, I have a site where the Pages (All Pages) screen is just all white. If I Deactivate the plugin, the pages reappear.
