Note: this is a temporary fix until I make some final tweaks to the plugin. It should be considered as a "beta" and therefore it is not recommended to use this on a live WPMU installation. I am in the process of developing a finalised WPMU version of the plugin and the following instructions are provided for those who are happy to test a beta version.
To use this plugin with WPMU, please follow these steps:
1. Download the current version (1.0.0) of the plugin from here.
2. Unzip the download file and upload the dynamic-gallery folder and it's contents to your /wp-contents/plugins/ folder. Note: do not upload to the /wp-content/mu-plugins folder.
3. Download the WPMU beta version of the plugin fix from here. The download contains two files, "dynamic-gallery-plugin.php" and "dynamic-gallery.php".
4. Upload these 2 files to the dynamic-gallery folder, overwriting the existing "dynamic-gallery-plugin.php" and "dynamic-gallery.php" files which you had previously uploaded in step 2 above.
5. Delete the file "options.php" from the dynamic-gallery folder.
6. Activate the plugin in Admin>Plugins for the relevant blog(s).
7. Configure the plugin in Admin>Settings>Dynamic Content Gallery and note the following points:
7.1. When creating the Custom Fields in your posts, create a Custom Field key called dfcg-image and enter the FULL URL to the image in the "Value" field. For example: http://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/myimage.jpg.
7.2 Enter the relevant category IDs and Post Selects in the Settings page option "3. Select the categories and posts (REQUIRED):".
7.2 Ignore the Settings page option "4. Location of post custom images (REQUIRED):". This is not currently used in the WPMU beta version. The default value shown in the Settings page can be left as is.
7.3 Ignore the Settings page option "5. Location of default images (REQUIRED):". This is not currently used in the WPMU beta version. The default value shown in the Settings page can be left as is.
7.4 Save the Settings.
I know, not very straightforward, but I did say that this is a beta version.
All other configuration, such as setting the size of the gallery, is as before and further details are given here. Just ignore any instructions concerning default images as these do not apply to the WPMU beta version.
Feel free to post any feedback. Thanks!
Ade.
