Hello there – ran into this which is keeping me from running DCG ~

Important message for Site Admin! To complete the installation of the Dynamic Content Gallery v3.2 please run a Site Admin Upgrade. The gallery will not work until this upgrade is performed.

Thing is – it's asking to run a file that simply does not exists. Also the link sting is inaccurate listing the /wp-admin folder twice.

http://www.radiocomix.com/easel-test/wp-admin/wp-a…..e-site.php

I am currently running Wordpress Multisite 3.3.1 and am currently trying to install DCG on only one of the networked sites. I have tried to run a network upgrade form the admin site but that did not seem to work. I have also tried to url hack the string to remove the extra /wp-admin as well as /easel-test/wp-admin to no avail.

What really baffles me is that it WAS working, but I had deinstalled it to try out v4, then deinstalled 4 to go back to v3+ and that's where it threw this error.

Any ideas on where to go to from here?

Thanks.

Hi,

Ok, I think I know what's going on and I'll post back with a fix.

Just to be clear – what version were you upgrading from and to?

I started with Wordpress 3.3.1, no upgrading at all for WP. For DCG, I started with 3.3.5, deleted it, tried 4 (for testing purposes), deleted that, when back to 3.3.5. and that's when I got this error. It all happened on the same day. Doh!

Thanks for the info. Strange indeed.

Are you comfortable editing your database using phpMyAdmin? If so, deactivate AND delete the plugin via the dashboard plugins interface. Then, using phpMyAdmin, navigate to the wp_options table and see if there are any entries which begin with dfcg_ or dfcg-. If there are, delete them. You can then reinstall 3.3.5 or 4.0beta, as you prefer.

Note: I never recommend downgrading unless the newer version is completely removed from the WP install first.
