Just discovered an issue where external links do not work when you have long descriptions for an image which generate a Read More link.
The settings for the smoothslideshow look for the first tag to get the image link, this fails when there is a Read More link as it comes first, which means it ignores the second link with the alternate URL.
I had to modify the plugin source to set a unique class on the image link tag and then modify the script settings to reference this instead of just .
This was with JQuery used as script language.
Hope this helps and please fix in next version thanks.
