It is also linked with a professional translation agency Live Translation which allows users to buy professional human translated website posts directly from the WordPress dashboard using PayPal, and the text is returned directly into WordPress. Yes as simple as that! It’s compatible with many SEO plugins such as the All in One SEO Pack and is well maintained so it is always compatible with recent releases of WordPress.

Yes. indeed, Jennifer has decided to stop development of Language Switcher. It’s a shame, but understandable.

I’m thinking of taking it on, but haven’t decided yet.

In the meantime, qTranslate is definitely worth looking at. I know some avid fans of WPML though, personally, I have my reservations about it.

Just wanted to let you know that as of April 2010 Jennifer is no longer maintaining the plugin: http://www.poplarware.com/news/language-switcher-maintenance

Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks

Andy

Thanks for mentioning qTranslate. I agree, it is a good plugin and seems to work well. My preference remains with Language Switcher, due to my familiarity with it, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend qTranslate as an alternative.

:-)
