unable to get DCG to work on Wordpress 3.1 Thesis 1.8 and DCG 3.3.5

Hi, I'm trying to get DCG to work on a basic Thesis 1.8 with virtually no plugins running. I'm using Ben Cooks Exhibit skin which uses DCG as a place to start. DCG runs nicely on his demo at http://exhibit.wpblogger.com/ . I'm two days at this now and still no images appear on the DCG slider on my test site at http://www.test.crankpin.com. I am literally going crazy. My settings are as follows: Image management = DCG Metabox full URL, Gallery method= one category, (gallery), URL to default images = http://www.test.crankpin.com/wp-content/uploads/ . I have tried mootools and jquery versions and for each have added home page support for these versions in thesis 'home page displays options Javascript' box.

I have set up two posts within a gallery category, both have the DCG metabox full URL set to the correct images, both have the custom fields: dfcg-image and dfcg-desc with the correct values. I have tried to add_action to 'thesis_hook_after_header which is what Ben's article states ( http://wpblogger.com/free-thesis-skin-photographer…..xhibit.php ) though he mentions using the thesis feature box which would require using the thesis_hook_feature_box for the featurebox as in Michael Gray's how to ( http://www.wolf-howl.com/blogging/visual-slider-thesis/ ).

If anyone has managed to get the current DCG working with Thesis 1.8 without being committed to a mental asylum please can you help

thanks

I'm guessing your only sin might be that you're missing a third post (3 minimum) to activate the DCG. Can't remember where I read that rule, but think it may be your key. Definitely have felt your pain, though…and lost a few hairs in the process. But it IS possible, if that's any consolation. Here's one I'm working on: http://MorganHillHairSalon.com

The "problem" with frameworks (though I'm not sure Thesis is a framework in the true sense of the word) is that adding content to a template is often not obvious. So, the first question is this: how are you adding the DCG to the theme?

Troubleshooting tip: switch the Load Scripts option to "Other". This will ensure that the scripts are loaded on every page.
