I cant seem to get the content area to fill the whole space with the post image
For example the width of the slider is 300px the post image only fills 150px of the whole space, even though the actual image is 300px wide

What version of the DCG are you using?
What version of WP are you using? 3.0, 3.0.1, 3.0.2?
Do you get what you describe in all browsers? Can you be more specific as to which browsers?
What's your URL?
Have you tried disabling all your other plugins to see what happens?
