Hello,

 

is it possible to select featured posts via ID and not "last" "last-but-one"… (Multi Option Settings)

 

My Problem: New Posts replace my current featured posts and i have no control of that, because multiple users have access and are able to publish posts. New posts in selected categories should not influence featured posts (order).

I am uing latest Wordpress & latest Gallery Plugin

 

Please help!

Oh, i noticed the possibility to "Exclude" posts from gallery. What changes are required to select this field for new posts by default?

If you want the gallery images to show only selected posts, not affected by authors adding new posts, don't use Multi Option. Use One Category and create a special "featured" category for these posts. Alternatively, you can use the "Pages" gallery method (it accepts post ID's), but you have to toggle between One Category and Pages method so that you can add the image URLs to the DCG Metabox in the Write Posts screen. This last "hack" has been discussed several times in recent forum posts.
