I can't get the slider to load when I put the code in the index.php,
but it does work when it's loaded through header.php except it shows
up in a weird position on the screen. I was wondering whether anyone
could help me with how to reposition the slider on the screen?

Hi,
When you added the DCG code to your index.php, did you place it outside the Loop? The DCG template tag cannot be used within the Loop.
Also, what settings did you use for the DCG Settings > Load Scripts tab options?
