Please include details of the version of WP or WPMU, and your URL, when asking questions. Thanks!

Hi,

I'm using Wordpress 3.01.

I'm trying to do a little modification of the arrows. Here's what I did:

first, I tried to remove the arrows by modifying the jdgallery showArrows parameter. I changed it to:

showArrows: false,

When I did this, the gallery stopped showing images (just a black window). The "featured article" thumbnails still appeared. But the images in the main, big window didn't. I also turned errors on, but didn't see anything displayed. Switching this back to "true" brought the images back.

Perhaps there's some dependency on showArrows=true based on my other DCG settings?

In any case, I noticed there are other arrows in your img folder. If I want to use a different arrow other than the fleche*.png arrows which are being shown, can I just rename the other arrows to fleche1/2.png? It looks like the filenames "flech1.png" and "fleche2.png" are hardcoded into the source code, so I thought that replacing these files with files containing my preferred image might be easier. If there's a better way to do this, would appreciate the advice.

Also, this is an outstanding plugin. Very nice work. Making it work with widgets is a *huge* improvement, putting it head and shoulders above other similar plugins.

thanks for any advice,

Hi,

Glad you like the plugin. Smile

Yes, do as you suggested – rename your arrows images as fleche1.png and fleche2.png and replace the existing files. Don't forget that the next DCG upgrade will wipe out this modification and you'll have to re-do it.
