Found this on a previous post: "When using One Category method, images are ordered by post date, ie latest to oldest. You could manipulate the post date to force a specific post to the top of the pile."
I mustn't manipulate the date. How can i change the order from oldest to the newest? thank so much for your help! flo

You'll need to use the Multi Option instead.
I would create a category just to manage slider images (say, for instance, "slider" or "dcg"). Then pick that category in the options under DCG > Gallery Method, and use the numbers 5 4 3 2 1 to display the last 5 posts, oldest first.
