Hello

I'm trying to setup DCG 3.1 on my main site…

On my test site, all is fine : http://zonetest.darkvador.org/

But on my main site there is only a dark screen with the loading bar. If I click on the arrows, then dscg-desc start to rotate but without pictures. DCG is set with full url and one category. URL are good. Tried to swith to jQuery, same thing… You can have a look on http://blog.darkvador.org/

I don't know what to do now….

Hi,

What DCG Settings do you have for Image File Management? Full? And what are the exact URLs to these two images which you have used in the dfcg-image custom field?

It looks to me that there is a problem with these custom field URLs.

I tried both Full and Partial.
Actually it's full.

There are just 2 posts, in a category named "Top". URL to pictures are

http:/blog.darkvador.org/wp-content/uploads/image/slide_servers.jpg
and
http:/blog.darkvador.org/wp-content/uploads/image/slide_remotedesktop.jpg

(copy/paste from the DCG dfcg-image field)

Yes, it should be set to Full.

This is strange – the URLs you posted are fine. However, if I view your Page Source (using Firefox) these image URLS are shown with the domain name appearing twice – which is why the gallery won't work.

Are you using a .htaccess file for rewrites, or something? Also, disable all your other plugins and see what happens.

I checked Page Source but I don't see problem. Are you talking about the part in the div class imageElement ?

Yes I have .htaccess with rewrites rules.
Some are the basic rules set by wordpress to change the permalink. Others are set by WP Super Cache (Wordpress plugin).

I already tried to disable all plugins, except WP Super Cache (I'm a bit scared to change things with this one…).

Yes, I'm talking about the img src's in the imageElement divs, and yes, the URLs look OK – but click them and see what happens (use FF 3.5 to be sure we're looking at the same thing).

Normal permalink .htaccess rules won't mess with the DCG, so I'm wondering if this is a SuperCache issue. Temporarily disabling it won't be a problem as such – it will just rebuild the cache once you re-anable it. Are you using the full caching or the half-cache (or whatever it's called) option?

Ok I've seen the double domain name.

I was with full caching. Finally I totally desinstalled WP Super cache and set back .htaccess to the original rules.

But things still the same…

So Supercache is currently disabled?

What else is different between your test site and this site?

There is no cache now.

There had a problem when I installed DCG on my main site. I created the "top" category to set featured posts inside. But DCG didn't want to save this new category in the "one category" part. Only categories created before DCG was accepted.

So I renamed an old one as "Top" to be able to save the "one category" parameter.

The worse thing is DCG was ok at the beginning with only 2 featured posts, but when I created a third one it starts to bug, even when I go back to the 2 first posts…

(I read you understand french, it will be easier to describe things if I could use it Smile)

Sure, you can write in French. I'll probably reply in English though. :-)

Bizarre…
