I configured the plug in to use images from 6 pages using the id method and the auto update.
The plug-in worked great – Now the users have gone back to the pages themselves and changed the images but the images displayed in the gallery are still showing the old images from the pages not the new ones. The old images were deleted from the page and the site but still display.
I am assuming they must be cached someplace..
So i removed the settings thinking it would clear things out, but when i place the page id back in it displayed the old deleted page once again.
Not sure how to get the current image to display / clear the cache?

Hi,

The "Auto" image management option results in the DCG using the first image attachment for the relevant page. If users upload a second image to the page, without deleting the original image, as far as WP is concerned the "first image attachment" is still the first image which was uploaded.

There are two ways you can get around this:

1. Delete the first image from the Page's gallery
2. Use a plugin to "unattach" the original image. This one seems quite light and useful: http://outlandishideas.co.uk/blog/2011/03/unattach/
(Unfortunately, it is not possible to unattach an image without using a plugin or editing teh database directly.)
