Image management - any way to control Post Thumbnail Size in Gallery?

Hi Ade,

is there any way to use the post thumbnails in the Gallery – not only for the carousel, but the whole Gallery?

When I have a post thumbnail set, it is not directly the main picture of the Gallery – is there any way of getting more control over this? And the picture in the Gallery is stretched…

For example I have a Gallery with 920px width – now I'd like to have a Logo in the Middle of the Gallery, Background set to white, let's say about 200px*200px (original Thumbnail has 800x800px).

Another Question: Is there a way to change the background via editor? E.g. I would like to have a custom picture as Background and a Thumbnail over it?

Hi,

The next major release (version 4.0) will haev Featured Image support and will allow automatic creation of correctly sized main DCG images. In the meantime, you have to create the correct size manually…

Ok, I'll look at your suggestion re background as a DCG Setting option. Thanks for the suggestion.

Great news! I am excited to see the new version.

Another question/suggestion: is there a way to get the Date of the News into the Title?
To use your great plugin as a news slider it would be superb to have the release date of the Post…. :-)

Probably not, though I can see the attraction of this feature. I'll put it on my to do list – but no promises.
