My first time using this plugin and I'm pleased at how easy it is to get working. One of the things I can't figure out is

1. How to keep the post images from being clickable. Right now when an image is clicked it opens another window to the post and I don't want that. If I click the Read more link in the description it takes me directly to the post, no pop up. In my setup I have the following options selected:

IFM: Full URL

Gallery Method: One Category

Slide Pane Description: Auto

Everything else is pretty much the defaults.

In the post I enter the URL to the image in the DCG URL fiield, which is uploaded to the server and added to the post.

2. How do I control the description bar? Right now everything appears to be "sitting" too low and I'd like to "raise" it up a little. Is it possible to make the entire "Description" bar clickable?

3. Is it possible to have two instances of DCG running on a single site and pulling from two different Categories?

4. Is it possible to hide the arrows and lightbulb?

I'm searching the forums now and apologies in advance if this has already been answered.

Hi,

I'll try to answer the best I can… Smile

1. You can't stop the images being clickable. This is hardcoded into the underlying javascript, therefore there are no user options for this. (If you know javascript, you could probably edit the js to do this). If you think about it, it doesn't make much sense having unlinked images, as the whole point of the plugin is to feature your "featured" content and to allow users a quick and easy way to get to it. By the way, it shouldn't be opening the post in a new window – it should open it in the same browser window.

2. You can alter the height of the description area (Slide Pane) in the CSS options in the DCG Settings page. No, you can't make the whole Slide Pane clickable.

3. You can only have one instance of the DCG on any one page. No, you can't have different categories in different instances. (I'm looking at a way to add this functionality in future).

4. Lightbulb – use the latest version (3.2.2). This doesn't use the lightbulb. Arrows – you can turn these off in the Javascript options in the Settings page.

Hope this helps. Smile
