Help With Ajax and Dynamic Content Gallery

Hi everyone, first off let me say that so far I'm really enjoying the DCG Wordpress Plugin. It seems to be much easier to use than Featured Content Gallery which I was using before.

That said, I'm having an issue that is rapidly driving me insane. On my blog, I'm trying to follow this ajax guide to hide the DCG content slider until a user clicks on the "Popular Articles" link in the top navigation bar. However, while I can get the loading.gif image to appear in the ajax div, I can not for the life of me figure out how to get the Dynamic Content Gallery to display when in this ajax div/call. Please, please help if you can as I am going mad over here trying to figure this out. I'm sure that it's actually something simple that I'm missing due to being a newbie with javascript and php (I'm okay with CSS and HTML though). I should note that putting the

<?php dynamic_content_gallery(); ?>

on any page not using any ajax stuff works fine, so I'm inclined to believe it's something wrong with my JS :(.

Thanks in advance, and you're my hero if you can figure this out :)

Thank you

Tim Verry

Tim,

First, switch the DCG to jQuery to rule out any js conflict.

You will probably be better off using simple jQuery to hide the div until the user clicks, rather than try to load the DCG via ajax.
