Hi,
I've walked through a few of the issues and managed to finally get DCG to show something. I have tried reinstalling, disabling every other plugin and moving the images but I still get ERROR in the box. I hope I just did something dumb! Here are my settings:

I am getting this error as well. It works on the first item to display, but not on the next item. I get ERROR in the middle of the black box.

I've moved to Featured Content Gallery for now as I have a setup that allows that gallery to work.

What's your URL? Absolutely impossible for me to even guess what the problem can be without seeing your site…

Have you uploaded an image via the Media Uploader to the "Video: Monster Rocket Blasts Spy Satellite Into Space" post?
Also, the default images folder setting should be a URL to a folder not an actual image. Take a look at the Configuration: Default Images info.

I've selected to use the ID method and the first two selections work fine. Anything after the first two and an error is displayed.I can't figure it out.

Image Management options are Auto, Full or Partial.
Gallery Method is ID Method…
The Page Source error messages say it all:

You need to upload an image to these posts.

I had pictures in each of the posts selected but they obviously weren't being recognized for some reason. I uploaded pictures and dirrectly inserted them into each post instead of selecting them out of my media library and it seemed to make a difference.

Well this sucks. I've got the same problem. Searched and this is the only resource I could find.

I get the following error and error.jpg in the viewer regardless of the JS settings or the gallery settings.
If I uploaded the picture to the post it works great. If I selected the image for a post from my media library, it returns an error. Is there any chance we can get this fixed? I've got over 2000 pages on my site so uploading dupe images is a no-go. I won't post the url publicly (It's on a protected dev subdomain anyway) but will send it privately.

What is broken? The error message tells you that the plugin is looking for an image attached to the post. If you want to specify a URL you need to change the DCG Settings>Image Management option to Full and paste the URL in the DCG metabox.
Bear in mind that you are only displaying a small number of posts in the DCG, so you don't need to do anything with older posts, just the most recent ones.

My first post to this forum. I have the same problem. Disclaimer: I am not a programmer! I had this website built for me by Brainhost.. Initially, the images rotated, then errors started on 2 of the 3 image slots but now only Error shows.. The only plug-in I have added is phpBay. I have tried deactivating phpBay but it didn't help. I also tried it on Internet Explorer.

Have you checked your Page Source for DCG error messages? Also, check the image URLs in your Page Source – they may be incorrect.
PS: If there is a plugin conflict the DCG won't work at all.

I originally had the black screen. I reset all settings to default and get this error:
Page Source message
DCG Error Message 8: The wp_query failed to find any Posts.
Rating: Critical. Fix error in order to display gallery.
Fix: Deactivate and reactivate the plugin and try again.
The following is also displayed in the browser where the gallery should be:
Dynamic Content Gallery Error: View page source for details.
There are 12 posts. I also tried deactivating and reactivating but it didn't help.

Update to previous post:
After resetting to default settings, I created a default images folder, put 3 images in and then looked at code source. It showed no images. I then went to the Media Library and attached images to the posts and it worked. I am so relieved to finally get this going that I can't describe it.
