Hello – it's me again.

I have these strange problem with qtranslate – in which it always gives me a

Title. Is there a way to Enter the Titels manually?

Thank you!

Hi,

The plugin automatically pulls in the title using the standard WP function get_the_title(). I don't know enough about qTranslate to know how qTranslate interacts with standard functions such as the_title() etc. Just to be sure – disable qTranslate and see if the title appears correctly.

As for your question, no, there is no method of entering the title manually without hacking the plugin code.

Hi Ade,

thank you for the reply! I really love your content slider! Thank you for it!

Well, when I turn qtranslate off, it is still broken -interesting – I think it's because when qtranslate is activated, there are two Title-Sections in the Page/Post Editor – one German, one english – and so the post is saved in two versions.

Some Pages have no English translation – but there are the two same titles = No problem in dcg, but when I enter the two same Titles in a broken Page, same problem…

I don't know what to do…maybe the plug-in author knows something…nevertheless, thank you for your reply!

Can you explain "broken page"? Not sure I follow you…

Hi!

I meant with broken page, that when I write the same Title in both languages in an affected page, the error still occurs.

Even when I delete e.g. the english Title, the error occurs, but with one title…de

<!–:–>Deutscher Titel<!–:–>

danke!

p.s.: I am also in dialog with the author of qtranslate.

well – I found out a "dirty" solution: to hide the title in the box, and to put that missing Title onto the picture…

It's not how it should be, but it works so far…

Maybe there is a better solution?

Thank you!

I'm sure there is a better solution, but it will take me time to go through the qTranslate code to see what's going on… Confused

Hi Ade,

did you find out something new? I just made some new tests – and it seems that dcg takes this strange Code Phrase from the Title Menue – wouldn't it be possible to just make Dynamic Content Slider – just exclude the English Title?

Something like with php –

if "<!–en:–>" ignore_it…

:-) (I have not really a clue about, what you can all do with php, yet.)

I also use a dropdown menue plug in in which the Titles are displayed completely correct in both languages.

Here is a picture of where the code is generated (very quick, while loading the Article page). http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/9082/sampleu.png.

Thank you!

Hi,

Sorry, I haven't had the time to look into this yet. Will do so at the weekend…
