Hi there,

Just trying to work out some DGC image display issues on a site we're developing. I figured out that a minimum of 2 featured posts is required for the images to show up at all (thanks to a bug in the Mootools JavaScript, I understand).

So now that I have 2 featured posts, at least the featured image from one of the posts is showing up. However, the other post is displaying a special "ERROR" image. Unfortunately, there is no explanation in the HTML source as to what the error is, even though I have "Show Error Messages" enabled for DGC.

I also haven't been able to find information on it in your own docs or in the forums (but I may have no looked hard enough).

Any thoughts, anyone?

Well, it seems that the problem was because my second post was pulling an existing image from the media library into it, rather than using a freshly uploaded image. As soon as I uploaded a new image into that post, DGC displayed that image in the gallery.

So DGC will only pull the first freshly uploaded image from the post to use as its featured image in the gallery. Is this by design?

Seems odd that I can't just insert a previously uploaded image into my post and get DGC to use that.

Also, I noticed that when I got rid of the newly uploaded image in my post, but left the other images in there, DGC still used the newly uploaded image as the post's featured image in the gallery – even though that image isn't even displayed in that post anymore.

Seems a bit weird to me. Am I the only person who's noticed this?

That would be excellent – it's exactly what I am looking for. I'm trying to get this bug fixed for tomorrow's deadline when that site goes live, and my boss suggested finding an alternative plugin if we can't figure it out with DCG by then.

I might be able to patch it myself to achieve the goal, but I probably won't do it correctly since I'm not familiar with your code. We'll see, maybe I can figure it out on my own temporarily just so I can make the deadline. I'd rather not have to use a whole other plugin.
