I see "ERROR" instead of a default image.

I get Error #4 in the HTML.

http://evitontest.info/

- By the time you get to my question, I may have put an image for some of the posts, but I will leave some rotating that should be the default.

* URL to use for Category default images: http://evitontest.info/wp/wp-content/uploads/default/

* Image file management: Full URL

* Mootools

* I named the files with the category ID then .jpg (lowercase)

* Just in case, I also made files 1.jpg – 9.jpg and 01.jpg – 09.jpg

* Setting an image within the post does work. But my client wants to use the default most of the time.

Are the category IDs wrong?

Just in case, I made

Hi,

Looking at the Page Source Error Message for image #4, the plugin can't find the Metabox image nor the Default Image.

I think you're using the new WP 3.0 menu system? If so, I can't see the cat ID numbers in your page source, so can't be sure whether you have created the necessary default image. The post in question has been assigned to EMR & Technology and Tools & Resources. Check the cat ID numbers for these 2 cats in Dashboard>Posts>Categories (hover over the cat name and you will see the cat ID in the URL in your browser status bar – bottom left in FF). Check that the necessary default images exist. Yes, your naming convention is correct.

I believe I have the very same, or very similar issue. May I ask that some one look at the web site and confirm what is to be done next.

Hi,

Which gallery method are you using, and what URL have you entered in the "URL to default "Category" images folder" field in the DCG Settings page?

Gallery Method: Multi Option

URL to default "Category" images folder: http://evitontest.info/wp/wp-content/uploads/default/

e.g. http://evitontest.info/wp/wp-content/uploads/defau…..t/1049.jpg

Do they have to be .gif, .png?

Hi,

They have to be .jpg files.

Is your site working properly? Links to your categories always load the home page…

Hi, I can't get default images to work for another client either. I never got it to work for this original one. Could you help me figure out what's missing? Thank you!

FYI You won't see the "ERROR" image saying error. I changed the error image to be the company's logo, so if you see a bright red and white box, you're seeing the error image.

i am sorry, my site just works in my computer with wamp server environment, I do not have a fixed ip and domain name now, so you can not see it, oh, forgot to tell you, my wordpress version is 3.2. Last night, i had a check the code of the plugin, the "dfcg-gallery-constructors.php" file in the "includes" folder, it has some code like these:
// Path to Default Category image
$def_img_path = $def_img_folder_path . $key . '.jpg';
if( file_exists($def_img_path) ) {
$image_src = $def_img_folder_url . $key . '.jpg';
$image_class = "dfcg-auto-default";
$image_err = $dfcg_errmsgs['15'];

} else {
$image_src = DFCG_ERRORIMGURL;
$image_class = "dfcg-auto-error";
$image_err = $dfcg_errmsgs['16'];
}

i think whether this "if" sentence is the problem?

the images have been in the default images folder, why the plugin can't detect them?

Ok, let's try troubleshooting this remotely…

First, are you using mootools?

If so, add this code to dfcg-gallery-constructors.php immediately before the if statement you mentioned in your earlier post;

var_dump($def_img_path);

Then look at your page source and see what this outputs.

Look in your browser's Page Source. The code I gave you should dump a load of code there – which is what I need to see.

I can't access that link.

Are you sure you put the code in the correct place in the correct file?
