Can someone tell me how to disable the black border that surrounds each image in the DCG? I want all featured images to fill the slide window. I thought this was standard from the first time I used it, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I already tried reinstalling the plugin.

What's your URL?
There is probably something in your theme's CSS which is adding the border.

I resolved this issue myself by simply removing all of my media and reuploading/attaching the photos. It looks like the program or WP creates different size photos when you make the assignment. Uploading the original size photos worked. It took a little time but well worth the fresh start.
