I've been working on my site http://www.internetmarketingsource.net/ tonight, the DCG had been working just fine. Now, i cant get it to display the images at all. I have readded the images for the feature DCG but no luck, i have it set at one category and the dir of http://www.internetmarketingsource.net/wp-content/uploads/ which i had double checked to be correct and where the images are actually located. I went through the troubleshooting guide on this site and no luck. What could be wrong? I have also deactivated ALL plugins except this one and also tried deleting DCG and re installing. extremely frustrated!

Sam,

Looks like it's working to me. Did you find the cause of your problem?

I've had DCG working for several weeks. Today I updated my Atahualpa theme on WordPress, and it deleted a bit of code that I put into the mootools style editing sheet for DCG. (I read that I had to do that somewhere, and once I did it, it worked great). I'm not a programmer, but I tried to put the code in again (because the slideshow does not show up) and I just can't find the correct placement. Since I don't know code, it's trial and error, and so far I have put it in several places on the mootools style editing sheet, and the slideshow either ends up above my header or doesn't show up at all. Can you tell me where to put it?

Elizabeth,

I have no idea what code you are talking about. What is the code?

I put this in mootools style near the top of the page

So now I can't find the exact placement where it was working before.

I am also having the same issue. It was working fine on http://new.thpindia.org home page. I am not sure what exactly triggered it. Tried disabling all other plugins, deleting and re-installing the plugin. Nothing works. I am having the latest wordpress and latest DCG plugin. I checked my source and found that the structure is loading there without any problem. It is some problem with the Javascript I guess. The division remains "display:none;"

Can you help me? What went wrong?

Image Management: auto
Carousel Thumbnails: legacy

Javascript Options: jquery

My issue turned out to be the way I was adding images. If you add several at once then select the relevant image for each post, the DCG doesnt recognize the image and pull it into the gallery. Instead you need to add (by uploading through the WP panel), the image for each post as you create the posts. Thats what i did to fix mine. Good luck!

Looks like the problem is with the template. In the default template everything works fine. What can go wrong in template?

Which template are you using and how are you adding the DCG to the template?

Hi – the exact same thing has happened to me! I had everything working and then it just stopped! Ive reinstalled the theme, the plug in and reloaded images but still it wont show up – my site is http://www.netmagiconline.com i'm using the enterprise child theme on genesis. the readme says that it prefers wp-cycle (which I dont want to use) and I also use nextgen for other galleries within the site – is it the java script? because i tried both versions before I decided to start from the beginning again?
my instinct is that its something to do with the widget area (home-top-right) because I cant get any other widgets to show there either but I cant understand why re-uploading the theme didnt fix it….?

HELP!

How have you added the DCG to Enterprise? What DCG settings are you using?

Also, if you haven't done already, deactivate WP-Cycle.

I am having the same problem. The website has worked without a problem for several weeks. And a couple of days ago, the DCG quit displaying. The DCG doesn't load when the homepage opens. If I go to a category in the navigation bar and then to a post in that category, I can return to the homepage and the DCG activates. I'm not getting any error codes, everything else is working great.

WP Version: 3.1
Genesis Version: 1.5
Lifestyle child theme version: 1.1.1
DCG Version: 3.3.5
Image Mgmt: Full url; use post thumbnails
Gallery method: id method; categories: all; id method settings number of posts to display: 8;
Slide Pane Descriptions: Auto
Javascript options: mootools
Mootools javascript configuration Options: all set to default
Load scripts: Homepage only
Error Message Option: checked
Add Custom Field Columns to post and page edit screen: all checked

This is how the DCG appears in the homepage.php:

less than symbol = [
greater than symbol = ]
? = 2

[2php genesis_before_content(); 2]
[div id="content" class="hfeed"]

[2php if( function_exists('dynamic_content_gallery') ) : 2]
[div class="dcg"]
[2php dynamic_content_gallery(); 2]
[/div][!-- end .dcg --]
[2php endif; 2]

@ catchbull4

Can you re-post that code? You need to paste the code into your reply, highlight it, then click the code button.

Also, what's your URL?

@ catchbull4

Looks like a JS conflict to me, probably with gtranslate. Disable that plugin and see what happens. Alternatively, switch the DCG to jQuery.

Thank you for your help. Removing gtranslate resolved the DCG issue. However, Miami is a multicultural city with visitors and residents from around the world. I want our website to appeal to both English speaking and non-English speaking visitors alike. Can you recommend a translation plugin that is as good at translation as gtranslate but is also compatible with DCG?

I considered changing the DCG to jQuery but I didn't want to have to guess about what would be necessary to re-configure with the Gallery CSS options pursuant to this "important note":

"If you change this setting, click Save Changes to refresh the Settings Page, then return to this tab to configure the Javascript configuration options below. You may also need to re-configure some of the Gallery CSS options.

You need to do this because the Javascript configuration and Gallery CSS options are not identical for both Frameworks."

Could you explain?
